Alright ladies....I need your help. FH and I were talking last night and both agree we want something different for our reception. Have any of you heard of just having a cocktail party? Do RH even do this just this without the sit down food? Or what about a brunch? We want to have like 125 people so we were thinking maybe a restaurant with a big room would be better. Tell me what you think. Please help
I think that a brunch or cocktail party could be really sweet, but I think it might be better to do something like this at a resturant rather than a reception hall, JMO! There are a lot of cute things you can do for these to make it different than a traditional wedding! I say go for it if it is something that you and fh are really interested in doing! HTH!
You can do a cocktail reception-I know that Stage 6 at steiner studios and the de seversky center both offer this-I am sure other places on LI offer this option.
Some RHs do this, but I've heard that it's JUST as much money as a sit down dinner, so if you're looking at it from a savings standpoint, it won't really help anything. There are some brunch packages I know at the Meadow Club, and I think Three Village Inn as well. Good luck!
