HELP!

HELP!

Hi ladies!
Hope you are all doing well!
ok so i have a small dilemma...
my FH and i are having a 'jack and jill' shower, and originally i wanted to have a backyard party (it will be in the summer), catered with tents etc... it is something my family has done before and it has worked out great...
UNTIL NOW.
i love my mom dearly but she is sometimes a 'mob-zilla' and it's infuriating b/c she can become controlling. long story short, she is insisting on it being out at a hall/restaurant- which i'm totally fine with, and i've just decided not to argue with her. she is trying to do something nice and it's not worth the heartache.

anyway- back to the point... LOL can you give me recommendations on where you ladies have had your showers (if you had them already), or have been to showers?

thanks so much in advance!!!

Re: HELP!

i've been to and liked:

Piccola Bussola in Mineola
Jonathans in Garden City Park
Domenico's in Levittown
HR Singletons in Bethpage
Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach (went to a really amazing shower here!)

they all have private rooms and good food.

Re: HELP!

I haven't really been to many bridal showers since I'm pretty much the first of my friends to be getting married. However, for ANY sort of celebration I recommend Lambrous in Island Park because they are just fabulous. I've had so many parties there, and they really do an excellent job.

I've b een to a Jack and Jill shower at the Mill Pond in Centerport. It's beautiful and on the water.
