Okay girls...so here is my dilemma. We are getting married October 23 2010 and our ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. By the time we are getting out of the church, it will be dark or getting dark so I don't know what to do for pictures!! I really do not want to take pics before the church so I HAVE to think of where to take them after. We can take some in our church and at the hall, but I want to get some ideas from you girls of where I could possibly go....i dont think my photog. will want to shoot outside if its dark....HELP with any ideas..PLEASEEE....

Re: HELP!
I am stressing over the SAME thing!!! Patken is trying to convince me to do a reveal before the ceremony so we can take pictures outside during daylight. You can always do that.I just dont know if thats what I want!!

Re: HELP!
We're actually doing the reveal before hand. I orignally was the same way where I did not want him to see me before the ceremony because I wanted that 'wow' factor. After talking with Patken they assured me that I can still get the 'wow' factor with doing pictures beforehand. What they do is when you are walking toward your FH, he is turned away from you and then he turns around to see you. I feel like i'll get a better 'wow' picture this way. IMO when you are walking down the aisle the photographer is taking pics of you so there is a chance that he may miss that first reaction from your FH. I hope this helps!

Re: HELP!
What about doing day after pics? THat way you can get the shots in the day time that you want without having to see each other beforehand. We're doing that since we don't have time to go to a second location for pics.

Re: HELP!
well here is what I decided to do... my ceremony is at 630pm in OCtober so I will have the same problem- I am going to do all my shots with my bridal party outside before the ceremony and so is FH with his groomsmen. Then we will take pics after the ceremony inside wherever we can. Then a few days after the wedding we are setting up a 'trash the dress' shoot. This way, we can get some really nice pics where I will be wearing my dress. I think it is a good compramise because I really am not willing to give up that moment when we walk down the aisle. I know many people say it doesnt ruin it, but this is just our opinion and what we feel comfertable with.

Re: HELP!
What time does your reception start? Will there be time to take pictures some where else in between?

Re: HELP!
If you havent tried already see if you can get your ceremony moved earlier. FH and I are having our ceremony at 1pm and reception starts at 7pm. We are getting married Oct 30 and were afraid of it being too dark as well.

Re: HELP!
I just didnt want to have to have my guests have such a large gap of time between ceremony and reception..
ceremony as of right now is 5:30 pm cocktail hour at hall is 7:30 giving guests time to get there with still some time to have to wait!
I think I am just going to have to take all my pics inside church and hall....maybe a few outside hoping its sunset...rather than completely dark! I don't knowwwwww....still sooo stressssed abou tthis!!! uughh

Re: HELP!
We're doing photos beforehand - not too sure how I feel about it, but it's November, so I don't really have a choice - it's going to be dark the minute we get out of church.
