Sooo....two of my friends are going through a really messy break up. They were on and off for a long time and now it is over for good...but the are totally at war with each other, hurling insults over twitter and stuff. Its getting to be ridiculous. They are both really stubborn and I don't know what to do, because I love them both but I do NOT want this drama stirring up at my wedding...and I really don't think it'll be resolved by then (they both tend to hold grudges).
What do I do?? I obviously can't have them both there...but I can't choose between them...do I just not invite either of them? Flip a coin? Why can't people just act like adults

Re: Help!!
Tell them if they act a fool at your wedding someone will be ESCORTING THEM OUT. Then delegate someone to be on 'idiot watch'
It's your wedding... I am sure they'll act grown. If not, tell them they BOTH CAN'T COME unless they act like adults.
Breakups shouldn't give people the excuse to act like a$$holes.

Re: Help!!
I think the most adult way to handle it is to speak to each of them individually and let them know that you love them and you want them to be at your wedding, but there CANNOT be this kind of drama. If they are true friends, they will leave it be on your day. If not, make them aware that you will not invite them if they don't act maturely.

Re: Help!!
You still have time for them to cool off..
If it gets close to the wedding and they are still at war I would just say to them that they need to act like adults at the wedding or alone one of them should show up (make them pick)

Re: Help!!
i agree w the above posters...but i also think that you need to invite them WITHOUT a guest!
if they really do hold grudges, inspecting eachothers guests could create a WAR you werent expecting.

Re: Help!!
Don't stress about it now - your wedding is still quite a few months away, its best to see what's going on at the time.

Re: Help!!
I do think that you should not invite them w/ guests, and sit them apart from each other (separate sides of the room if possible) and hopefully they won't run into each other!
I'm sure they're adults and know how to handle themselves around other people, but I would take each aside and just be like 'i need you to chill at my wedding.'

Re: Help!!
I wouldn't talk to them just yet. Right now they're probably FUMING at each other. But maybe around May have a little discussion and make sure they are ready to act like adults. And I agree with Joanne- if they act up they SHOULD be escorted.

Re: Help!!
You can deal with it as it gets closer to your wedding. For now, just listen and be comforting to both!
