help

So the time is coming near for me to go dress/bridesmaid dress shopping...
The ONLY place I know to go to is Davids bridal

Im on a tight budget... I only have 5k left to spend on everything including my dress.. I dont want to spend more than 1200 for my dress and I dont want my girls to spend more than 150. Where the heck can we go?? Any suggestions? I feel hopeless!!

Thanks so much in advance ladies... you have helped me sooo much my wedding already id be lost without LIW!

My maggie from Bridal Reflections was 1600 and I know she has some wayyyyyyy cheaper than that so maybe find what kind of dress you want then look for stores that sell that and go from there...Good Luck

Re: help

Start looking for styles and designers you like and call around to get prices. (They say they won't give it to you over the phone but if you get them at a slow time and a nice person they'll give you prices over the phone).

Rk in the city is very competitively priced. A lot of alfred angelo dresses are under 1000 also so I would look at those and find salons that have them.

You can get many beautiful dresses for that budget. Maggie Sottero gowns are affordable and you can find them at a lot of salons. Also NEGOTIATE!!! If you get your dress the same place your BM's are getting theirs make sure they discount all of your gowns.

I got my gown at Centereach Bridal. They have a big selection and are very friendly there

two good pieces of advice...
1. if u have a set budget make sure you say that you have a budget of x amount of dollars, so they will only show you dress you can afford. that will help to make sure u don't fall in love with something you can't afford.

2. once you find a dress you love, call every store in the phone book to compare prices. by doing this we saved $1,000 on my dress.

Re: help

my soterro and midgley gown was under $1K.... they and the regular maggie line are very reasonable!

Check out Lillette's.

They carry Maggies and Jasmine gowns....both of which can cost you $1200 and less.

Re: help

There are a few designers that you can find around that price: Maggie Sottero, Demetrios, Allure, Alfred Angelo, Casablanca, Watters, Wtoo. I'd recommend going on brides.com, you can search through the dresses by price and get a few designers that will work with your budget. Good luck!

Also, my girls ordered Jasmine B2 dresses and they cam to $168 with taxes at Alexandra Boutique in Forest Hills. HTH!
