I am looking DESPERATELY for help planning my July 2010 wedding. I am on an EXTREMELY tight budget, since we arepaying for this whole wedding ourselves. I have looked into The MEadow Club which gave us an amazing quote. Any other Suggestions?????

Re: HELP!!!!
click on 'planning' at the top of the page (next to 'chat') and then on 'reception guide' ... they have all the approximate prices (without tax and tips) .... keep in mind that you can always bargain a bit ...
there's a chat thread somewhere about planning on a budget ... you should take a look at that - they have wonderful ideas. i think it's in the 2009 boards
Good Luck!

Re: HELP!!!!
I would first evaluate your budget and see what you can afford to spend in each area of your wedding. Then once you know how much you can spend, it will be easier to select each vendor...
It'll give you a list of all of the halls in the area, max head count, and price range. It was a HUGE help to me when I first started.
Also, figure out your budget and an approximate guest list. Then start breaking things down from there.

Re: HELP!!!!
First, find out what your budget is. This should be first and foremost..by budget, I mean - by your wedding day yoiu will have X amount of $$ in your bank acount ready to pay out all your vendors.
Vendors: -RH (this will be the majority of the budget) -Officiant (if not getting married at a church) -Photographer -Videographer -Florist -Limo or transportation - DJ/Band (entertainment) - Hotel rooms (if needed)
Then there are other expenses, like - your wedding GOWN - bridesmaids/MOH dresses (if being paid for) - rehearsal dinner/engagement party costs - favors - hair/makeup trials and deposits
