Separate them at the wedding. If they are close family you kind of have to invite them, you don't want you and FH to start your own war with people. Put them at opposite ends of the room and hope for the best.

Re: help!!!!!
You still have so much time. Plan on inviting them for now and if the nonsense continues, cut them later. How do your parents feel about not inviting them? I also have a family that fights...I didn't invite them. Your wedding is the biggest day of your life and if they can't behave themselves...then they should stay home!

Re: help!!!!!
I'll stick by what I said...leave them home. One less thing you'll have to worry about on the big day!
Maybe someone needs to have a chat with them. Maybe if they hear it from an outsider they with realize how ridiculous they are acting!

Re: help!!!!!
I think you have already made up your mind what you want to do from what you have said. But I'm not sure why you would have thought to put them at the same table - I would put them on OPPOSITE sides of the ROOM. - You know the saying - out of sight out of mind. I would then say to my bridal party (give them a taxi card if needed) please keep an eye out for so and so - this is the issue - if you see them fighting or anything else that will ruin or distract the guests please quietly ask them to follow them to the lobby and quietly say to them - Look you can not do this - if you can not behave then I will have to ask you to leave.

Re: help!!!!!
I wouldn't invite them - they seem like they are very selfish - to fight at a kid's birthday party - THAT IS RIDICULOUS!! Maybe you should be the person who starts by not inviting them to the wedding - maybe they will see that they are selfish, self centered people who don't have enough class to just not talk to each other for the sake of making somebody's day special. And if they ask, tell them straight out that they have done this at almost every occassion and you don't need them to ruin your special day like they did to everyone else.
Sorry if it sounds rude but I wouldn't invite them on my wedding day.

Re: help!!!!!
OPPOSITE SIDES WILL NEVER WORK!!! Hardly anyone sits at the wedding and if they already have it out for each other the will find them.

Re: help!!!!!
Seat them far far away from each other. And maybe have someone close to them tell them your fears. They must listen to reason about something like this right?
