HELP - 6mo Preggo BM

I am so happy for my BM mommy-to-be, but now the hunt for a maternity BM dress is on. Looking for something blue (navy, light) sleeveless/short sleeved, knee/tea length.

Thankfully we are planning on getting an off the rack (jcrew, ann taylor, nicole miller, banana republic etc..) dress for the other girls, so as long as the style and color is somewhat simialr we will be fine.

Any advice from the fashionable mommies-to-be?

Re: HELP - 6mo Preggo BM

I was 7 months pregnant at my friends wedding and my cousin was 5 months pregnant at my wedding. We both wore the same dress as everyone else, just got a larger size then had it tailored. I appreciated NOT wearing something different. I stood out enough.

For formal maternity clothes, check Pea in the Pod. They are expensive (but gorgeous) so it may be the same amount of $$ to get a 'regular' BM outfit and then have it altered.

I was 7 months pregnant at my friends wedding. And I wore the same dress as the other girls. When ordering it I just ordered the largest size.

One of my BM was five months pregnant at my wedding. All my BM's wore mix and match from David's Bridal. She was able to find a dress that she had altered, which was the same material and style as everyone else. Plus she said felt very pretty! (When her 2 year old son saw her - he said she was the 'naked Mommy' because she had so much skin showing!) It was important to me that she felt good in the dress, because I wanted everyone to feel happy in what they were wearing.

One of my BMs was 6 months pregnant at my wedding. She was not pregnant when we ordered the dresses. Luckly, she was able to switch dresses with a different BM whose had ordered a larger size. Another thing that helped was that the back of the dress was corset style, so as she grew during the alternation process, they just loosened the back.
