i have 7 bm's & my fiancee has his 2 brothers, my 2 brothers, 2 best friends. ..he has become very close with my 2 best friends husbands and we all hang out every weekend. he originally wnated those 2 guys in the party but now wants to have 2 more of his friends he grew up with & one of the guys he doesnt even hang out with thye only talk on the phone & it has been like that for 5 years...and the other he barely hangs out with either.... i do not want 10 guys b/.c that is just toooooo many & the pictures will look stupid & walking down the aisle also....he is going to have to make the choice of which 2 he wants am i being mean or do you agree that 10 is just too many...?

does seem like a lot. I think you are right, he should choose. esp if the 2 he doesnt really see or speak with anymore. This shouldnt be an oh I feel bad if i dont type of thing, it shouldnt be lets put everyone we know in thing either. those 10 are going to cost you money...
i personally would downsize. Its more acceptable to have extra woman.. but extra men IMO would look silly.

I have been to a couple of weddings with 10 or more people as bm or gm... But those were weddings with over 250 people. In a bigger wedding it will look less odd i thik. i read somehwere online (i dont remember where) that a good estimate is one member of the bridal party for every 15 guests, or 1 bridal party 'couple' (i.e. 1 bridesmaid and 1 groomsman) for every 30 guests. I think it should be more about the number of people important to you though.... and if someone thinks it looks weird, o well for them, they can choose less or more people for their own wedding. It's your day, after all...

I have 10 GM and 6 BM. I think what ever works for you is great. I was at first worried about pictures but then my photographer showed me pictures that where the same. What ever works for you!!

I started out with 10 BMs and 8 GM now I am down to 6 each!!! People back out. Just make sure that you do what you want and NOT what people tell you to do!

honestly, i think if it's important to your FH then you should let him have who he wants (as long as they are not ppl who will drive you crazy the day of) jmo though!
