I was a bridesmaid once in a dress similar in style as the yellow but I hated the boning in it all day...very uncomfortable..so I would pick whichever one doesn't have boning and the yellow looks like it might...

I really think it depends on the shapes of your BM - someone like me would look like a trainwreck in any of those dresses LOL
I like number 1 the best - just b/c I think its easier to flatter more people. The 2nd one is sooooo pretty but that could be really bad for some body shapes.
Why dont you use both dresses and have your girls pick??

body shape is a concern too but the bridal store said that rouching is flattering on all shapes????

I actually think the second one would be more universally flattering because of the ruching in the middle which hides any lumps.
