HELP!!! Any Advice on taking the girls for BM Dresses???
I am going tomorrow with my 7 bridesmaids and 1 flower girl. Is there any tips or advice you can give me to help find the perfect dress for everyone. I want everyone to be happy and love the dress we pick. But I also can be a push over and really don't want to budge on my color choices. I don't mind if they each have a different dress as long as it's the same fabric and color. I'm very excited but I am also very scared. Please help.

Re: HELP!!! Any Advice on taking the girls for BM Dresses???
I hope this advice is not too late but do they all have to go? May I suggest that you pick a few styles/colors BEFORE you bring all your girls. It will be close to impossible for every girl to agree on a dress and it can get a bit crazy having all those females in one room making such a big decision. I am going to shop for dresses with my maid of honor and matron of honor and most likely my lil sis since she is one of the BM's. I am going to pick a few examples of shoes and they will chose the style they want but I am not giving a choice on the dress. But that is my personal preference because I know how my girls are. Anywayz good luck and be sure to let everyone know that regardless of opnions, complaints whatever IT IS YOUR DAY!! Good Luck again!!!

I JUST went BM dress shopping for my sisters wedding last night! Your open mindedness about the style of the dress is definitely going to be a big plus in keeping everyone happy. Just tell them the color that you want and have them all try something that they think will be flattering on their particular shape and definitely get help from your saleswoman because she has probably seen tons of body types and can tell you what has worked for differenty body types in the past. Have fun!!

I'm taking 2 of my BMs and my MOH to try on dresses, once we pick them I will let the rest of the BM's know and Ill take them to get fitted, I think it may be a little crazy with all the girls there, you can get an idea how they will fit on the girls once you see it on a couple of them......make sure to choose a style that is good for any body type if you have a range of different sized girls
Good Luck and have fun

BTW the more outrageous you are with the dresses the likeliness you will not have 100% agreement, especially if your girls range in size. Be simple but not boring and you should be ok. You can also try separates if it gets really difficult. But make sure you go in with an idea (long gowns, tea length dresses, short dresses, color, shoes) so you don't get pushed over and lose control. Remember its YOUR DAY! I can't stress that enough.

Re: HELP!!! Any Advice on taking the girls for BM Dresses???
Thank you ladies. I plan to get there 30 min before most of the girls so I can pick some dresses to start off with. I'm just nervous. I've already had color conflicts, like every time I say a color they'll say 'oh, what about green or what about taupe'. I know I want the colors to be either purple or pink and I have to stay firm on that. It is about my day, but it's so hard.
What do you think of a soft rose color with an accent color of Plum, is that too much? Can you have three colors, like a light purple, a light pink and a plum?
