Help: BM Dresses

Help: BM Dresses

Hey everyone,

I have been going crazy trying to figure this out so I thought to of course ask the LIW girls. If my wedding gown is strapless should the bridesmaids also wear strapless or have something either spaguetti straps/halter to look different. What about the MOH?

Help not sure what to do and the dress comes in both styles.

TIA!!

I don't think there is a rule. Do what you want! I personally am not a fan of the spagetti straps that come with the strapless dresses. But You do wha tmakes you happy!

You can have whatever you want. I would go and look at some dresses and have your BM try them on and then decide.

Thanks girls! The problem is that since half my BP is from OOT I am just trying to find the easiest thing for them.

My dress is strapless. The BM dresses are too. My MOH will wear spaghetti straps that come with the dress

My dress is strapless and I prefer the look of strapless (usually) but my BM dresses have a spaghetti strap. However, they are part of the design of the dress, not random removable straps that get added on to a dress meant to be strapless.

I don't think there's any rule about matching your BMs to your dress style - and if there is, feel free to break it! You are the bride, so you can be different if you want. Or, you can match them. I didn't really put any thought into that when choosing my dress.

However, I did take dress fabric into account. I'm getting married in Aug and am NOT wearing a heavy satin dress -- I'm wearing a lightweight raw silk. While I was open to satin BM dresses, I was happy that my girls liked a lightweight tissue taffeta which I thought might be better for August and would go with my dress a little better.
