HELP! Bridesmaid Dress Advice !

What do you think? 2 Situations.

1 - I am having my wedding in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (ceremony – outside, reception – The Palm House). I want the girls to wear tea length dresses. Do you think this will be a problem in regards to their shoes on the lawn? Should I just have them wear long dresses? I prefer the tea length dress because it is elegant/classy but not as formal as the long ones.

I want my wedding to be elegant/classy casual since it is in the afternoon. They will be wearing brown.

2 – I originally wanted the girls to wear different dresses. It is an all or nothing situation. Either everyone is going to wear the same dress or everyone is going to wear different. The reason for this is because everyone is quite different in style and come in very different shape/sizes. After asking advice (which I now regret), I feel like just choosing ONE dress and tell everyone to make the best of it. OR just tell them exactly which dress they should wear. The problem I have been facing is that I have 5 girls. It has been hard to find a line that has 5 different (but similar enough to have in a wedding party) that are tea length that are made with the same material (I didn’t want to have some in chiffon, some in taffeta and some in satin). Can anyone recommend any advice or know of a line that has a lot of choice with the same color and same material?

Any help/advice is welcomed!

Thanks a bunch, ladies!

If you go with the option of everyone choosing their own dress, you can definitely get 5 in the same color/material. Even if the dress is not originally tea length, a full length dress can be altered to be tea length.

You can check out Jim Hjelm. I am doing different dresses in satin and I was able to find 11 that are the ssame fabric. They are the long ones though. He has a lot of tea length dresses too.

You can see pics of the long dresses the girls are picking from in my album.
