Help - bridesmaid dress alterations

Does anyone know of any place that will do bridesmaid dress alterations in Manhattan or Queens?

I went to a dress alteration shop and they told me they couldn't do it because the dress had beading on the top - that I need to go to a bridal shop....
I just called RK bridal and they won't do alterations on dresses that were not purchased there!

The wedding is on September 29th, I need to get this done, please give me some suggestions!!

I don't know of any specific places, but I had my BM dress alterations done once at my dry cleaner, and they did a good job. Just make sure you haggle them down on price.
