Help! Broke my headpiece!!!

Help! Broke my headpiece!!!

Ok I don't know my own strength! The FI bought me a beautiful headpiece/comb-band with swarovski crystals. I tried to reposition a part of the band where there was a wire sticking out with flower swarovski at the end, and the wire snapped at the junction of the thin wire and the actual floral piece!!!

Does anyone know where I can have it resoldered on for a reasonable price? It looks fairly simple to do with the proper equipment and skill. I would do it myself but I'm a little weary to mess around with it too much. I've screwed it up already! There's a part of it that has some kind of cloth like material and sequin that I don't want to burn.

I don't think its returnable or exchangeable. He got a deal on it.

Maybe bring it to Barron's at Tri-County...someone might be able to fix it for you...

I've never been there before. Could you tell me the address? I'll GPS it and I think I'll go and check it out

Re: Help! Broke my headpiece!!!

Nightmare... Just rejected by so many jewelers at Tri county! Its custom jewelry and they don't want to blacken or burn it too. I need to have it lasered on apparently. Only one store corner would do it, laser the broken piece onto a new wire and then put the wire on the headpiece, but i'd have to leave it there. I dunno it seemed a bit shady...

Went to Commack Jewelry exchange too and no one would do it either. The closest one said they would glue it back on, but then I'd have to leave it there too. Not too fond of the glue idea.

How reliable are jewelry stores at Tri county? The piece is quite expensive I think. I'm kind of scared to leave it with others.

Depends which jewelry store at tri-county. I only have gone to Turkan and Diamond Roof.

Can you take it to a real jeweler? do you have a family jeweler that you trust?
