My church does not allow anything to be thrown outside after our ceremony. That includes bird seed, rice or rose petals. They suggest bubbles, but I don't really care for bubbles (have had bad stains on dresses from bubbles from weddings).
Can anyone suggest something else we can do. I'd hate to leave church and not have anything thrown at us!?!? The rose petal pictures are so cool. Please help if you have any unique ideas!!

i came across something like rose petal confetti that doesnt need to be swept up or picked up because they dissolve with water. So maybe your church will allow that? Since they dont need someone to go out and pick them up they just need some handy dandy water lol

I just ordered these in my wedding colors. They make for great pics
this is the same for my church... ask the priest if you can tip the altar boys to clean up the rose petals... it worked for my friend!!!

I like doves. I know someone who had the butterflies at her wedding and by the time they were ready to release them half were dead and a lot just fell to the ground. I don't know if the place she got them from were bad but from that experience I wouldn't get them.
