Okay tonight I am going to the Thatched Cottage with FH. I so need help cause I really want to book tonight. What are some questions I should ask? I just feel like I'm going to forget to ask all the important questions. Please, I am so nervous and anxious and excited and scared all at the same time, and I had no sleep last night, so that's not helping.
Also, any advice on negotiating?

Re: Help!!! Catering Hall
You should ask them how many people they can accomadate in the cocktail hour room, how many people sit at a table. How many choices of linens they have. What kind of CP's can you have- can you have candles or not??? Stuff like that. As far as negotiating- just do research on here. Get a list of prices per person and then from there, see what you can get. If they say 105 ask for 95 and to include something that you would like- like a viennese or something of that nature. Some places are really willing to make deals- you'll be surprised!

Aw you are too cute! They will explain everything and as they are explaining you will definitely have questions. The one thing I did not see there was the Bridal Suite so make sure you get to see that. Also we never got to see the main ballroom b/c there was a party in there. So make sure you get to see that too! Hmm, anything else I think you should be good with! Good luck! I hope you get to book tonight!!

Thank you so much. Were you able to get your catering hall to throw in the Viennese hour? I'd love if we could get them to do that. Thank you so much, you were so helpful.
Also, thank you jess8123. You too are so sweet and helpful.
Cross your fingers. I've wanted the Thatched the first time we went there back in Sept. And when we went for the food tasting, OMG, we were so pleased by everything.

You'll be fine!! The best way to negotiate is if your not picky on a date or day. Then you will have more options in term of price per person. Make sure that anything you want/anything special you would like for them to do is listed on the contract!
Good Luck Sweetie!

i can tell you they generally do 12 people per table - but can do 10, 12, 14, or even 16 at a table if you need them to
since you are in april as well - i'll tell you what they told me - that the cocktail hour will be in and outside if its nice - if not - they will close the doors but people can still venture outside...
they have a gazillion linen choices - ask to see them...
you can have candles - they told me they would even set up my CP's for me as long as I show them how to do one - but i would ask again just in case...

Hall Twin, you are the best! I keep getting info. from you that I have been meaning to find out. I wanted to ask about the candle CP's. That is great that they will set them up. TC just gets better and better in my mind. To the original poster, good luck! I hope you become a fellow TC Bride!
