So I went to my church to s/w Pastor about wedding and he broke the news to us it will be $800 to have the wedding at the church that we are members of $400- Pastor Fee $250- Church Fee $75- Music guy Fee $75 - clean-up fee and not yet added $150- to have piano played
Is this not too much or about the regular ???

I am pretty sure we are paying about half that for our parish. Not sure who's is the norm though!

It really varies by church. I have heard it can be in the $1,000's.
I'm having an officiant and they are chargin us $450 I believe.

We're not going the church route, but everyone we spoke to said we should be prepared to spend up to $1000. It was that much to do the ceremony at our RH too.

our church has a 'suggested' donation of $500, and we have to tip the organist. our priest said we don't have to pay $500.
