i'm a march 28th bride myself...

use whatever colors you want! and there are a bazillion choices for place cards, again, pick whatever you want.

helpful? no. but seriously, march is so flexible you can do whatever you want.

browns might be nice.. but like bemyoko said.. i think really you can go with anything - so go with what you like!

I agree! I think March can handle all different types of themes. I think most, if not all color combinations/schemes work for your wedding! And there are a lot of placecard ideas you can use..depending on your colors and/or style of the wedding.

ie) creative placecards...(i'm sure you're read about these somewhere but just posting in case someone can benefit)
-mini apples w/ paper leaves..leaves have seating info..also coordinates if green is part of your color scheme
- or any sort of favors w/ a tag that has seating info (kills two birds with one stone)
- placecards that are handmade and/or with calligraphy..you can include your wedding colors in the paper or ink

I'm a March girl too. I don't really have a color theme...when it comes to colors I'm a pretty neutral girl so no color really jumps at me to include. I'm doing black BM dresses and they will most likely carry white tulips or callas, or roses if I can't afford the first two. I'm trying to get a bouquet of these really dark purple tulips (tulips are my favorite) that FH had for me when he proposed. Other than that, I think i'm doing more of a candle theme. Candle placecard holders, candle CPs...... March is one of those in-between months so choose whatever color you like!

I agree, Im a March bride as well, I think you can totally swing any color scheme you like, being it really is a transition month....... I chose to go with more Spring-y type colors....Im doing Turquoise and white for the most part...with white and pink roses

March 28th here too!

My girls are wearing black and 'champagne'. For flowers I am going 'springy' colors. Pinks, light purples, yellows, oranges and light blues.

No specific colors so I don't know if I am helping either! But I guess like everyone else says, you can do whatever you want!

March 29th Bride here!!!

We originally wanted to do it closer to st. pat's BUT that's right around the easter holidays so we pushed it back to March 29th.

That being said, we're doing a green, white, and yellow theme. At first it was just because of st. pat's but now I find that I'm incorporating less Irish stuff (FH is italian, I'm irish) and just going for a more spring-y feel.

I figure green and white with yellow flowers and accents is a very fresh, bright, spring color scheme.

Like the other girls said though, you really can go with anything in March.

We should start our own official March 08 brides thread!

Well I am having an Irish themed wedding. Going all out with the shades of green and light pinks.

March can go either way. its either going to be springy or wintery. There is no way to know! So go with whatever colors you want and no one will think anything of it!

I am doing chocolate brown and Salmon.

You can really do whatever colors you want bc of the time of year. Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing. Its right around easter so its sorta springy then, but still March, so you can go with darker colors.

For place cards, I like the idea of using those scrapbooking brads to dress up the card.

I think I may either do that or use vase filled with dogwood or cherry tree branches and hang the place cards off it. (im not certain it will 'work' yet) I am the eginning of April (4/6) so I am basically in the same time frame as yuo, but i am going more spring than winter.

I have a march wedding the main theme is green (clover), black and a hint of peach and ivory.

I have some ideas in my album. My artwork for place cards and stuff is finished but not printed yet.. so i should get my samples up in another few weeks.

just kidding..
I'm thinking of burgundy for the girls. My dress is spun gold. Not sure of flowers. Maybe light pinks and creams??

And 9 times out of 10 when someone asks me what my colors are that is my answer.
Most of the time people look at me like I am crazy...

I do the same thing!! My friend asked me in the ladies room @ a bar, so I said that and some girl busted out laughing in the stall
