So FW and I may have a dilemma when looking for dresses.
Originally, she found a dress that was ivory that she loved but we agreed on not going with ivory.
Then, I went to look at dresses and it turns out i like ivory.... the same day she was out looking and found a white dress
LOL
How do we decide? We had said first purchaser makes the decision, but that doesn't seem fair!
(PS we are not seeing each other's dresses before the first reveal they day of our wedding, but we will probably have a go-between person to make sure they look OK together)

i usually prefer white, but depending on dress ivory can look really nice too, i think your original idea with the first purchaser makes decision would be a good way to decide, if you both cannot agree on a color. or u can try on one of each and see how it looks ?

I dont think your really going to even be sure that you guys match. Depending on the designer you could both be in ivory and the dresses could still be 2 totally different colors. I wouldnt worry too much about it as long as you both love your dresses

I'm a bigger fan of ivory because I'm pale and white washes me out. That being said, I don't think you both have to wear the same color. Especially if the ivory one of you picks is a light ivory.

I think I would lean toward Ivory. It's so unique compared to white.

Get swatches of each. My dress is considered ivory but looks white. This could be the same case w you two!

I am going through the same thing! My dress is ivory but my FH wants to wear a white shirt under his tux. I worry it may clash in pictures. Not sure what to do and of course the man at the tux shop was no help either lo1! I may ask my photographer his thoughts.

Does FW like the ivory dress she first saw more than the white one? I personally like ivory but it depends on your skin tone. But you have to go with what makes you feel beautiful. Like one of the ladies said get a swatch of each because the ivory dress and the white might not be that far off in color
