if I change my mind and decide to use someone else, since they don't have a signed copy of my contract, Can i??? or does the deposit serve as a valid type contract?

Re: HELP! Contract question
No, if there is no signed contract, there is no contract that you can be held to. Who's to say you didn't change your mind or anything? Just giving you the contract w/o either party signing doesn't make it legally binding
ETA: And if there's no deposit given either, you're not held to it.

Re: HELP! Contract question
well you would just lose your $500 bucks then, but 'they can't' hold you acountable for anything else. But usually deposits are nonrefundable.

Re: HELP! Contract question
i just wasn't sure if the deposit we left ($500) would serve as an agreement for services, since we did leave the deposit, eventhough they dont have the contracts

I can't see it showing as a contract when you never actually signed one ya know. I could be wrong but I feel like if theres no contract then there's no obligations.

No, I believe you would just lose your deposit but wouldn't be held to any contract. I did that with one vendor and I cancelled with them. The held my deposit but that was it. HTH
