Help Dad Dont want to wear a tux

Can anyone help me my dad does not want to wear a tux, He is gonna walk me down, and he want to wear a suit he has already!!! is this ok? i dont know what to do i really want him in a tux!!!! to top it off his suit is blue! the hole probolm is he dont want to spend the money to rent a tux!!!! if i had the money i would rent it myself for him can anybody give me any idea on what to do!!! thank you very much

If all the grooms men are wearing a tux and the grooms father (if there is one) is wearing a tux simply explain to your father that you would like him to wear one too. He is an important part of the wedding and he should be wearing something special.

A lot of tux shops will throw in the Dad/Grooms tux for free if you're renting 5 other or so. Maybe he'd be willing to wear on if it was free?

I was going to suggest the same thing.

But if he can't afford it and neither can you - let him do with what he has and be happy he is there to share in your day.

My FH was in a wedding party this past weekend and this is what this bride did.....

When the groomsmen go to get their tuxes - along with the free one your FH gets, you can include your dad's as well. The guys will wind up paying a little more for their rentals, but it'll get your dad in a tux?!
