I'm such a clutz! I was getting dressed and I hit my arm really hard into a clothing hook on the wall. I have a feeling it's going to lead to a pretty bad bruise since I bruise easily. With the wedding only 18 days away, is there anything I can do to make the bruise go away quicker? I just put ice on it for about 20 minutes, but I don't know if that will help.
Yes...get Arnica cream..it is amazing. I had a rhinoplasty last year and had absolutely no bruising using this cream! Hope it helps!
ice for 20 mins on and 20 mins off is really the best. It shrinks the capillaries and slows blood flow so that the blood doesn't pool to make a bruise. (thats what a bruise is). Just don't leave it on for too long. 20 mins on and 20 off is good.
I use rubbing alcohol but any actual liquor with really high proof will help too.
Drink a lot of fluids also - your body has to absorb the blood that is under the skin, causing the bruise. Keeping really hydrated will help circulate the blood.
