Help... Dose anyone know where I can get a marriage license without a birth certificate
Ok, I know I waited to long, but just found out that I needed a birth certificate to obtain a marriage license. I know I have a birth certificate but don't know where it is. Does anyone know of a place where I could get a marriage licence without using a birth certificate. I can't get a copy of one quickly because I was not born in this country.

I dont' think there is any place.. I had to go down to rockville center to get mine two weeks ago ( my birth certifcate) I recommend just ordering another one and then applying for your license.

We did not show birth certfiicates when we got our license (last october). We got it in Manhasset on Plandome Rd. We brought dirver's licenses and passports.

You can go to the office in the City and they will give you a BC same day.

Vital records in NY is were you can get a Birthcertificate, but I called Town of Hempstead to get all the info on what I need and I don't need a BC just 2 forms of ID one has to be a picture/ license or passport and the other can be insurance card.

what country were you born in? Do you have a copy of your baptisimal certificate? IF you have a copy of your bapitsimal certificate you just need to get it translated and you should be good. we had this problem with my fh

I was gonna say the same thing. You only 2 proofs of ids. Such as drivers license and a passport. That's what we are using.

We did too... your passport is your proof of birth AND nationality....
We went to the Town of North Hempstead office in Manhasset.

we didnt show birth certificates either and we went to Manhattan's city hall. We were literally in and out in 30min.

Go to any of the Boros to get your license without a BC. Just bring your drivers license or passport!
