Help!! Dryer NEEDED!!

I know this has come up before .. but wanted to start a new thread ..

Our dryer is squeeking up a racket, and I'm afraid to run it at all .. it does appear to be on the older side .. it came with the house, along with 2 washers.

So, we've accepted the idea that we should just go ahead and purchase a new dryer, and we might as well replace the washer we use. (The other one just sits there, unused).

We need the best value for our buck. I would like something that can easily handle Queen-sized comforters. I'm not really sure what our budget is .. because 1.) I'm not sure how much these things go for, and 2.) hubby and I haven't discussed budget yet .. I'm sure he'd be more willing to spend than I would .. so please, any ideas and places to shop would be greatly appreciated!!!

By the way .. how long does delivery usually take, and how difficult is it for these guys to get the washers/dryers into basements??? How distructive are they???

we did the same thing! Floor samples/open box items at BestBuy. We got Maytag washer/dryer set for cheaper than the cheapest brand! Or even check out PC Richard, they usually have huge clearance section. And almost all applicances are still covered under mfg warranty so you just need to call to get missing/broken parts if any. You can really save a pretty penny. We saved so much, we bought ALL NEW applicances.
