Help!! Earring Post Stuck in Ear!

Has this ever happened to anyone before? I have had it happen before and now it did it again. I HAVE to get bigger posts. I am freaking now because I can't get it out. My dh usually helps me with a tweezer but he is not home.
Any suggestions??!!

If the post is too small, it 'falls' into the hole. I have had this happen before but never this bad.
I feel like such an idiot and don't want to have to go to the dr. but I don't see anyway that I won't have to.
I am really upset about this and feel so dumb.

He tried to help but it hurt too much and the post was not coming out!!
I am soooo embarrassed to go to the dr. but I don't think I have much of a choice.

That happened to me at 13 when I got my ears pierced...I pushed it so firm against my ear that it did go in a bit (I was freaked). I don't remember how I got it out, I think just playing w/ it.

Good luck....I know how it hurts....perhaps use some peroxide that tends to draw 'bad stuff' out of cuts & such...can't hurt & it will clean the area

If it makes you feel better, I had an earring back fall all the way into my ear when I was in bed & decided my earrigns hurt & tried to take them out while layign down. DH coull see it, but couldn't get it out, so I went to the ER. They thought I was crazy, untill they saw it & then got giant tweezer thign to get it out. I would have just gone to the DR, but it was the middle of the night.

What if you rub vaseline on both sides of your ear lobe? This may lubricate it enough for it to come out easier.

That happened to me several years ago. It was really bad my ear lobe actually started to grow around the back drawing it inside my ear. The way I got it out was I had a friend take two pairs of pliers ( one on the earring one on the back) and just pull it apart. It was bloody and painful little pieces of my earlobe came off with the back sorry TMI!!! But I have a pretty high pain threshold, and it happened quickly. It didn't ruin anything though I still wear earrings!!But you are probably better off going to the Dr!!!!

Andrea you nut! You're lucky you didn't get blood poisoning! I did the same thing in HS.
My cousin & I decided to get our ears pierced(2nd hole)but knew our parents would KILL us,so we wore our hair down, thought we were pretty slick.
Well,one of mine was soooo tight,it went through the back! But nooooo, I couldn't tell anyone so I went to the garage and got my dads DIRTY pliers (Andrea!!) and started a home operation. I fainted in the bathroom from all the blood (by now I had an infection & fever) my parents thankfully heard,it was like 2am and took me to the ER. I'm lucky they didn't kill me on the ride there. The clipped it out,huge shot against tetinous(sp?) and 2 stitches.. after art class next day in school,I was know as Van Gogh.
Go to the DR!!

I was pretty young at the time too. I was only around 18, I think at this point I would go to the Dr!!! LOL
