The invitations for my wedding were sent by my parents since they are hosting the wedding.
My question then is, who makes the phone calls after the RSVP date?
Do my parents because they are hosting? Do I because I am the bride to be? And is FH supposed to call his side?

im interested to know this as well... the rsvps are going to my parents but I figured I would call the people I am closest to and my FH would call his people. Leaving distant relatives I never wanted to invite up to my parents to call

i think that if your parents dont mind doing it they should.....i think it would make those late and rude rsvp'ers feel much worse if your parents made the call.

I think that ettiquette-wise, your parents are supposed to do it, since the RSVP is in their name. But if you are calling any of your or your FH's close friends, I don't think there is any harm in you guys doing the dirty work. :)

I agree....If its family then your parents (and even his) can do the calling...Friends you can take care of....Hopefully that doesnt happen to me! AHHHH

I had my parents call their friends and our family. I called my friends. DH called his friends. DH's parents called their family and friends. I just couldn't call everyone and my mom felt weird about calling DH's friends and family. It is really so annoying to feel like you have to track down people because they can't send back the rsvp. Sorry you have to deal with this

Probabaly your parents since they did the inviting, but people you and FH are friends with you should probably call

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE EVERYONE!!!
I think I am going to have my parents call everyone except for FH's friends.
He can do that....and since he is such a procrastinator...if he doesn't they are marked as not coming and my dad saves money!!!!
My RSVP date isn't until the 20th but I am trying to figure it out ahead of time. I hope it becomes a non issue.
