HELP! EMERGENCY! I need someone for Hair/Makeup!!!

I'm here on LI from North Carolina for the weekend, and I was suppose to have my hair/makeup trial at 11:00am with Pauline at her house, and she never showed up!!! I am so upset, I don't know what to do! My wedding is in less than 6 weeks, and I can't get in touch with her. I can't believe she wasn't there??? Can anyone help with some recommendations? I cried all the way home from her house, I can't believe it. Please help me!!! I'm going back home tonight or tomorrow. Is there anyone that can help me??? Please post right away!!! I need hair and makeup! Thanks so much! (I really don't need this!)

Have you checked Jacqueline Nicole (vendor on this site), I would have booked her but she was booked on my wedding day. She referred me to another airbrush make-up artist, Jade Kessel @ 631-724-5564. Give her a call. Hope it helps, good luck:)

KIM...I just spoke to Elena today to set up a trial. Have you had a trial yet? How was it? A friend of mine used her for her wedding last year. Her prices seem very reasonable.

Metphan - I had a trial with Elena a few months ago. She did a great job, my only complaint is that she used a little bit too much foundation. I told her and she said she will use less on the wedding day. If there is anything you dont like, you can tell her and she will fix it.

What does Elena charge? Does she give discounts depending on how many people are getting done? What does a trial cost?

Elena charges $50 for the trial (for hair AND makeup). On the wedding day she charges $150 for hair and makeup or $275 for hair and makeup and for her to stay with you until after the first dance. She fixes your hair and makeup and helps you get dresses. For bms it's $40 for hair and $40 for makeup. She'll either come to you or you can go to her. I don't think she gives discounts but you could ask (her prices are lower than others to begin with).

I would highly recommend Jennifer from fairytale makeovers, if you are lucky enough to get her. She did my wedding this past july 14, airbrushing and all. The hair was fabulous. The makeup outrageous. Her staff and herself were wonderul, I felt like a princess. Eveything I was told about her was true. I couldnt believe her prices after I saw the work and the treatment I received. My whole bridal party was impressed! The pictures that I have seened from my wedding so far, are beautiful I was thrilled! I just got back from my honeymoon and I'm using her again for my sister inlaws wedding in October.
