Hello everyone I really need help I can't decide how to decorate for the engagement party. I am holding it in a hall. I really didn't want to go with a theme but i think i might have too. Any ideas???

What kind of hall? He has our in a Knights of columbus and we didn't do a theme but we decorated with white lights around the hall and each table had these low candle holders (there was 2 on each table and each held two votives) We got all the candles and everything at the dollar store - it looked very elegant and it cost under $50! (You might be bale to see in my e-party album)

my FMIL surprised us and she got beautiful balloons - a small bunch on each table. . . and she got some flowers to put in front of where FH and I were sitting - it was nice
we didnt really do a theme but in italian culture green is the color of an engagement (new life) so we had a lot of green stuff

Thanks alot for the ideas. I really like the lights. I am going to use red, white and silver balloons and hang some white lights around.

congrats and good luck with the party! I think you can do candle centerpieces ( like huricane vases with a candle in the middle) or balloon cps. You dont need to worry about a theme unless you intentionally want one....

fh had copied some of our pics into black and white and blew them up to like 81/2X11 size and posted them on black board and we posted them all around the room of our hall and we had ballons and a sign in board than fh and I made.. we also used our favors as decorations.

Not sure if this is the best deal out there but I noticed that AC Moore has 8 inch hurricane vases on sale this week for $1.99 each (ad says they are reg. $3.99 each).
