Help!? Enough time between ceremony and reception??? What is your timeline for photos!?
Everyone tells me I have 'plenety of time!' (famous last words hahaha) ..... but I don't think I do! I don't want to be rushed as fast as this day is going to go by, and we want to be there for the entire cocktail hour. So I feel like ...
Church ceremony full mass - 3PM - 4PM Receiving line and pictures - 4PM - 4:45PM/ 5PM??
20 minute drive to the reception hall Arrive at North Ritz - 5:20PM I'm thinking Pictures at North Ritz/ eating something because I'm going to be starving/ etc 5:20 - 6:30
* I wanted to invite all immediate family (aunts/cousins/ etc) that I want pictures with to arrive at 5:45 - 6PM?
Cocktail hour 6:30 - 8:00PM
Move church to 2PM??? But then is that too much time in between as everyone is telling me?
It's a Friday wedding so I don't expect everyone to come to the church, so it's not inconveniencing that many other people besides the close family.
Suggestions??

I think adding an hour in the middle is not a big deal. The amount of time you have in between already is long enough that folks will have to find something else to do anyway in between. Unless it takes 2.5 hours to get to the hall from the church, people will already be going back to their hotels, or back to their homes, or whatever after the ceremony anyway.
So, if it will make you less nervous and more calm on your wedding day, I say go for it. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable and works for you!!! People will work around it.

my photographer said that a receiving line can take about 45 mins - we're expecting about 100 guests.

It sounds to me like you have enough time alotted for photos. If you needed some additional photos, you can always run into the cocktail hour time a bit. We're getting married on Sunday so we can't move our church time up. We pretty much only have the hour of cocktail hour for pics.

I think what you have is perfect (my timing is very close to what you have). Pictures at the church prob will not take as much time as you are thinking. And keep in mind that you are doing an hour and a half for CH...if pics cut into that by 15 mins, it wouldn't be the end of the world. As far as you being hungry, the RH should have some food for you and the bridal party as soon as you arrive...

I think your time line is fine. I will have a similar timeline, except I will probably have my church (full mass) around 2pm because I live about a half hour from the RH and I want to go somewhere to take pictures before. Because you are getting married in June, you have more hours of daylight to take photos. I feel like I have to rush to beat the sundown!!

Thanks girls!! I definately feel better. Knowing me I'm late to everything! SO I'll probably be late that day ha and the rest is a rolling ball being late for everything else. It'll all work out!!

I would talk with your phototgrapher about how much time he needs for pictures.
When I got my epics taken we spoke quickly with the photographer. I have 7 BM and 7 GM and 2 kids under 1 years old that will be in pictures. He said that he thought that he would want 3 hours for pictures.
Pictures is one thing that I want to make sure I get everything I want. I do not want to be rushed. I would rather have too much time then too little time!

Thanks Mara!!
That's how I feel. I have never heard a bride say 'I had too much time inbetween' on her wedding day!! Kinda leaning towards the 2pm church start time.
