Getting quotes right now and one of the TA's is asking me what my vacation is for....she said this: Many of the hotels have different discounts and promotions and I want to be sure and apply the appropriateones to your trip pricing.
Should I lie and say its a vacation or be truthfull n tell her its my honeymoon?? I dont want to get ripped off and I know once you mention 'wedding' you get raped LOL

I would say tell them it is a HM even though you know the price will skyrocket but then you know with a HM you will get great packages with extras for the newlywed.

My experience is that you get little extras thrown in for hms, like bottles of champagne, etc. I would get quotes for both!

I would tell them it is your HM - often resorts have special HM packages, complimentary wine, sunset dinners on the beach. Good luck!

I don't think hotels charge any more because its a honeymoon. I would tell them because you might get special things thrown in. Hotels love honeymooners!!

if your scared you will get duped - have ginzo call and ask for the same thing but as a vacation. see what the price difference is - if any.

If you have a relationship with your TA....like I do....I would tell her the truth...its my honeymoon but I don't want to pay for the honeymoon suite and all of the extras. And she said ok.....booked me in one of the regular rooms but mentioned to the hotel that it was a honeymoon. HTH

I am going to book my honeymoon myself - but I am not holding back from telling anyone it's my honeymoon! Throw in those extras!!! :)

I think you should tell them that it's your honeymoon. They may have special rooms or extras that are not normally offered to the average guest.
