So I worked really hard on creating a unique placecard. I spent an insane amount of time crafting these paper flowers which are going to be displayed in wheat grass. My mom wrote the names and tables on each leaf (because she can do calligraphy) and then I was going to attach the leaves to each flower. The calligraphy came out beautiful-- the only problem is she didn't write first names- only the initial. I feel like it looks really wierd and is kind of confusing when you get to families with the same last name. Since my FH's uncles and aunts all have the same last name and the same first initial on those she wrote the first name. So I have some with full names and most with initials and for some reason its driving me insane. I put so much time into these things I just want them to be right. I'm almost afraid to ask my mom to do them over cuz I know she worked hard on them. What should I do? Am I being insane?

I agree that first names is important. I would ask her gently. Let us hear what happens.

I don't think Mom would have a problem, if you preface your request by saying, ' I know you worked so hard on these, and I hate to ask, but could you please......?' And don't forget a hug!!!!! And, 'Thanks, Mom, that's why you're the best Mom in the world!!!!!!!' What do you think?? Mary MOB

I talked to my mom and told her it was really bothering me and I know it's crazy but it's been stressing me out...and she offered to redo it. She didn't want me to stress. She's so good to me!! Thanks for your advice.
