HELP! FH lost his Birth Certificate!

He is from NJ...how do we go about him getting it again? He also has no idea where his SS card is either..all he has is his ID....

Tell him to call the hospital he was born in and ask them how to go about getting a new one/copy . they will tell him where to call and what he has to do. Hope this helps. Or call town hall of where he was born.

I did a quick web search and here is the link to NJ Vital records...this tells you where to get a copy

The social security site has forms for requesting a duplicate card. I think it's www.ssa.gov

I'm not sure how it is in NJ, but in NY, a Birth Certificate is filed with the local township. I needed a copy of mine and was able to get it for a nominal fee.
