My sister is getting married this weekend in Florida. (Tampa area) and she just called me in tears ... apparently her photographer has bailed out on her.
I would like to try and help her if I can .... anyone out there have any photographer contacts for central Florida? Craig's List is about non-existant for the area.

I went onto Yahoo and clicked Yellow Pages, typed in photographer as the business and Tampa, FL for the location and this is the listing starting with A that I go in return.

I don't know anyone, but how and WHY did her photographer bail? Didn't she have a contract? Can't HE recommend someone since he's leaving her in the lurch? That's just wrong... I'm sorry. I wish I knew someone. Is there an FLWeddings.com? lol

Also... tell her to call her reception site to see if they have a house photographer. If the photographer that bailed on her WAS a house photographer, they should compensate her in some way for recommending someone who is THAT unreliable. How do you do that to someone???

You guys are awesome! As always LIW comes thru. I will pass these on to her ... when she is done being hysterical.
I dont know what's going on with the contract or anything. I got the impression that she didn't get one ... sort of a friend of a friend deal. And apparently the price she was paying reflects that.
It wouldn't be very kind of me to say I told you so...right now anyway. So I am just trying to find someone else for her to call.

We found a photographer!!! YAY!
I'm not sure which link got me there .... but we are using www.Magickeffects.com. The lady was really nice and we called at just the right time.
The price makes me wish I had got married in Florida though ! She charged less than 900.00 FOR THE WHOLE DAY. With digital and film and a book of ALL proofs, a HI-Res DVD and your proofs online for 30 days to order. .
Anyhow -- thanks to everyone who repsonded. LIW is the best!
