Help - Greece vs. French Polynesia

Hello ladies,

We have still not yet booked our honeymoon and are torn between 2 areas of the world.....Greece and French Polynesia (tahiti, bora bora, fiji, etc.).

After meeting with our travel agent she got the feel that we would like Greece more since there are more options to do at night and more sightseeing than there is in French Polynesia.

Has anyone been to both places to provide feedback on both? Mind you I am greek, and have been there before (but not to the islands we would be going to) and FH has never been there.

I have been to both. And you are right...Greece has more options as far as night life and more sightseeing than there is in French Polynesia. If this is something you must have then go to Greece.

We went to the French Polynesia islands for our HM because we wanted to really just do nothing but relax. Every other vacation we have taken or will take includes lots of sight seeing and going out, and we didn't want that for our HM.

The Greek islands are very beautiful and romantic. And as you know they have great food in Greece.
But French Polynesia is absolutely amazing and unlike any other place I have been to. If you don't mind the extremely laid back atmosphere, I would go to French Polynesia. Because being that you're Greek, you'll probably have many opportunities to go Greece later on.

DO FRENCH POLYNESIA!!!!!!!!!
you will find domething to do. i dont htink you will be bored in tahiti.

you can do greece on your first anniversary!! do tahiti!!! its the most luxurious magical hm spot in the world!! do it!

I have been to both. Greece definitely has more nightlife and sighseeing than FP. In FP there are some great excursions, but not as many as in Greece.

With that said, keep in mind that it might be nice to lounge around doing nothing for a while after the craziness that comes with planning a wedding. And...,you won't miss the night life. Because of the time difference you will pretty much be ready for bed at around 9pm for at least the first 5 -7 days.

Another thing to consider is that since you are Greek you probably would do Greece in the future. That may not true for FP.
