Help! Having issues about what size to order

So here's the story. I bought a dress a while back but then we moved the wedding back from March to this December, so I figured just more time to fit better in the dress. Well, now we've gotten a little surprise.... I'm pregnant and due about 2 and a half months before the wedding. I know some people would try to move the wedding up again, but to me it doesn't matter, so we're sticking with the date.

I went to David's Bridal yesterday to look for a new dress, assuming the one I have isn't going to fit me since it was snug when I got it anyway (bought it on ebay). I found a dress I love and had every intention of waiting until November to get it since you can buy off the rack there. The girl told me that they change the dresses so much that she can't guarantee it will be there, or might be discontinued so lthe sizes could be limited. She said I should order it now and just order bigger than what I think I'll be.

So here's my problem...how do I know what size to order? I'm almost 4 months pregnant now and had on a 14 or 16. Normally I'd probably be in a 12, so it's not that much bigger. I actually had on a 12 because that's the biggest size they had and it fit everywhere except across the chest (wouldn't zip up) but it's a very forgtiving dress because it's flowy. She said they can take in up to 2 sizes without the look of the dress changing. I know you girls can't predict the future, but if anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it! TIA!!!

Congrats on the baby!!! I have no wedding dress size advice, and my experience with davids bridal was horrible... but wanted to congratulate you

Its gonna be hard to determine I think. Some women gain just 20-25 pounds then you have others who gain 40-50 pounds or more. Maybe get 2 or 3 dress sizes than you currently are and talk to them about the option of ordering extra fabric so they can let it out in case you need to.

hm i would say if you already had on a 14 maybe you should order the 16 or 18... and then just have them take it in if it ends up too big. congrats!!!

I would say that as long as the dress can be taken in without ruining it or anything, go with a 18, MAYBE a 16- just because you never know.
