HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
My fiance and I are having trouble choosing btwn Fox Hollow and Crest Hollow for a winter wedding. We are most likely doing the ceremony at the RH as well. I'm completely confused at this point and like both! Any thoughts suggestions?? Also, which are the best reception rooms? I really liked the Winter Garden pavillion at Fox Hollow for a Reception but it's also gorgeous for a ceremony. And at the Crest hollow they suggested the Starlight for ceremony and i pretty much have the pick for the reception. Thanks!

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
When i visited Fox Hollow i fell in love with the Winter Garden because if you are having a night wedding you will see all the stars when you look up so that would be very nice. I also loved the waterfall behind the dais table. I was told by the BM who showed me around that the minimum was 150 for a Saturday and 125 for a Sunday.

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
i've never been to a wedding at Fox Hollow, so i can't speak from personal experience that way - but it was our second choice for our RH! It is a beautiful, very intimate place - especially at christmas, and they offer great pricing... The reasons why we went with Jericho Terrace:1) i LOVED the winter garden pavillion at Fox Hollow, but it was too small for our guests! i wasn't a huge fan of the long room for larger weddings...jmpo - everyone is different of course. if the wgp WAS available to us it definetly would've made our decision a LOT harder...i LOVED that room!
2) we ended up having a great connection w/a friend through JT and got hooked up w/some great deals
other than that - it's a beautiful place!
Crest Hollow i HAVE been to for weddings and they did a fabulous job...we were in a HUGE room that i think overlooked the pool... definetly not as intimate as Fox Hollow, but they did a wonderful job & the food was wonderful!
good luck with whatever u decide! they are both great places so u really can't go wrong
I would go and meet w/each place...see who you 'click' with more - and who is willing to negotiate the most... and when u see them in person it may be easier for u to decide!

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
I went to weddings at both within the past few mos...I liked the food a lot better at FH but I liked the room better at CH...it was a huge room w/lwhite chiffon 'scarves' lined with lights that came out from the center chandelier...the back window overlooked the pool and the bride and groom were in the center of the room on a dais :) The room at FH was very long...the bride and groom were at one end and we were all the way in the back by the DJ booth, so we really couldn't see the cake cutting, first dance etc.ETA: Just to confuse you more (sorry lol!!)The service was amazing at CH

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
Fox Hollow, hands down...especially if your wedding will fit into the wintergarden. The ceremony room (I think the petite garden?) also has glass ceilings and is intimate. The hotel is right next door and for the Christmas season the plant poinsettas all along the top of the wintergarden...looks beautiful.
I've been to Crest Hollow for a wedding and it wasn't what we were looking for- more of an intimate feeling. Westbury Manor was our other top choice.

I would say 130 as the max- they will tell you 150 but that will require at least 13 or 14 packed tables. 13 tables should really be the max.

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
i haven't been to crest hollow in years. my brother and SIL had their reception in the WGP. The wedding was very nice and the food was good. the only thing i didn't like was the bar next to the dance floor - the dance floor got slippery very fast because of all the people carrying drinks back to their tables

Re: HELP!! Having trouble picking a RH
We were actually torn between the same two RHs. I loved the WGP at the FH. We were told 130 guests comfortably for that room. We want to get married outdoors -so we ultimately chose CH because we loved the grounds but we also fell in love with the way the room was set up for a ceremony indoors (in case of bad weather).I have heard wonderful things about both places. No matter which you decide-you will be in good hands.
