Does anyone know any good vendors that are not too expsensive but still nice? My future mother in laws back yard is the size of a football field with a canal in Massapequa. It's GORGEOUS but I don't know where they would park?

you can have the people all meet somewhere and have a party bus (they rent old time looking trollys too!) pick them up and take them back.

I was thinking that, saving money with a tent wedding doesnt seem to be an option, but I love the personalization of it all. I just cannot find a place with a nice room without ugly carpets that is plain so that I can do what I want with it

it seems nuthing saves u $$$ lately! U can have it catered, and caterers r cheaper then recep halls! I thought that if I rent a beach house for it, I was saving $$$ but that is sooooooooo not the case. It is going to cost about the same...maybe like $2000.00 cheaper, but like I said not much. (BUT I am doing the beach house ne way. We feel it is more us ne ways, and we didn't really want a reception hall.)

This is what I initially wanted but after researching...it hurt my brain to think of all the different vendors I'd need and keep track of. And it seemed like we'd go way over budget for the look FH and I wanted.
BUT check out http://www.nytent.com/. Their work is amazing!

Try Deanglis Rentals in Oakdale. U have to google it for the website. I do not know it off hand. But just google Long Island Party Rentals or Long island wedding party rentals, and it will bring up a list. Some of them have really good prices. BUT shop around! B/c u might think be getting a grt deal, but u really aren't

I would begin by hiring a wedding planner...any wedding where everything needs to be brought in takes a lot of planning and recommendations of vendors so I feel this type of person would be valuable.

ITA! I've done tented events for work... you will need to bring in all the rentals like tables, chairs, dance floor, lighting, and you might need a cook/catering tent if the caterer cant prepare food in your kitchen. You might also need to rent potties, valet, electric ...lots of stuff! Which really gets to be more expensive then going to a RH.

I rented a tent from All in One Rentals in East Northport for my college graduation party three years ago. They had many other things for rent as well. You might want to contact them...
