HELP! How much time b/w Church and Reception?

Okay so I need some help!!! I have a photographer coming to the house before the ceremony. My reception starts at 7 (7-12) I have the photographer for 10 1/2 hours and im just trying to figure out the timing that is typical that people are leaving.

What time is everyone having their ceremony (if having it at a church) vs. what time does cocktail hour start at the reception hall? Also, what time are you planning on havign the make/up and hair people come to the house?

I was thinking about having the church at 4 and the hair people coming at 1 or so since the photographer would come at 1:30? Is that enough time to get ready? The church is roughly 1/2 hour from my house.....ahhhh i need help!!!

first you need to find out what time is available at the church, that will basically indicate your timeline...catholic churches have mass on certain days and you have to be out of there by a certain time...for example the latest time at my church is 3:30 bc they have mass at 5 and we need to be out of there by a certain time and give them enough time to clean.

so first i would just talk to your church and then figure out the time line.

It probably takes 1/2 hour from church to RH. We are most likely just going to take pictures around the Reception hall..we arent really traveling far to take pictures!!! So id assume 2 hours for pictures would be fine

We have 3 1/2 hours between the end of the ceremony and the reception.
