I told someone my gown was A-line, but she told me that she didn't think A-line gowns were fitting through the waist. Is my gown A-line? Or something else???

If you take away the ruffle, the silhouette is very similar to my dress, and on the Jasmine website my dress is officially called a 'flare' silhouette (trumpet, basically). I would say yours is leaning more towards a trumpet. Love it!

It kind of looks like a mermaid because it's fitted through the waist and then comes down, the waist is dropped, but it's also fitted, so I would go with the mermaid HTH

I had a modified A-line and it looks just like that. It's somewhere between a mermaid and an A-line.
