Here's a picture of my sample centerpiece. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but I'm worried that it might not look good in the wedding pictures either. Also, though I liked it when I saw it, now I think it's a little boring. Also, I might ditch the darker pink roses and just go all light pink. It's definitely top-heavy, so maybe I could add something on the bottom. I'm just not feeling like it's worth $300 per centerpiece (100 roses @ $3 each). I was thinking of switching it to a calla/rose combo, but I've gotten some mixed opinions. Help! Please! I'm driving myself crazy.

now that i looked at it again, maybe just change the holder so that the base is bigger on the bottom! the candlabras that they have can have the candle holders removed.

That's what I was thinking too. I like your base so much better. This was the original look I was going for, so maybe I'll scale down the flowers a little. It's really expensive for something as simple as roses. It's not like they're dipped in platinum or anything :) Besides, otherwise I'll be eating Ramen noodles everynight for dinner to pay for this. And all that sodium is not going to help my weight loss effort
Re: Help! I don't think I like my centerpiece anymore
I definitely think a bigger base would help even it out.
I am not a fan of the candelabra's but that's just me. I am sure that would look nice too.

Remember, when people are seated at the table, all they will see is the stand. I would get rid of the stand and either do a compote like container or no stand at all.

I prefer the candleabra one, personally. I like details at both the top and bottom. I think you could get the same effet with less roses on the top and some on the bottom. If you are looking to make the CP cheaper, and I don't know that you are, maybe you could use another flower with the roses that takes up more space. We're using roses and gerber daises, just as an example.

Quick question since I'm a floral idiot--what is a 'compote' container?
Also, do any of you think I should ditch the roses and do the calla lilly/roses arrangement instead? Thanks again!!

I personally don't really care for callas. A compote is a footed bowl that gives the flowers a little height. This is a really bad example.
Re: Help! I don't think I like my centerpiece anymore
I love tall CP's (you can see other people with them)..But thte first pic i do not like the stand...Try changing that first before changing it completely...I dont care for the compote thingy... I also like the mix of pinks

I personally like this if you want to do the roses!
Before I would consider one or the other I would evaluate what your room looks like and decide which is better suited.
But you mentioned calla lilies - here was my centerpiece - they had limes in the base with bear grass and curling willow:

I think it is beautiful. Maybe you could add a touch of green to liven it up a bit, like some ivy draping around the stem and some ivy or even white roses in the piece itself. Just a suggestion!!
