Help, I got the tanning itchies!!

Well I'm a newlywed but I figured everyone views this board so I would give it a shot! Since most of you have tanned once in your life!!

So, I've been tanning and I'm pretty tan.. well last night the itching hit. I hate that. Didn't sleep at all.

Anyone know a good lotion to use while tanning.. or after tanning..
I use planet beach I don't think they have them by us and I think they use hawaiian tropic!

I gotta say though I used to do hollywoodtans in bethpage and they were awesome, I loved their lotions. Definetly recommend them to any bride looking for a tan

Take a shower and use a good lotion such as body butter or lubriderm

ALways keep yourself moisturized. Believe it or not when you actually HAVE the itchies...use cold milk compresses They really work

honestly... i would say that after a shower use baby lotion - it's the best & you smell baby fresh afterwards!

Thanks everyone. I did the milk last night and oh.. it felt so good.

Any lotion recommendations?? Actual tanning lotions though

Ready for a laugh, I went tanning yesterday and maybe did too much, only 10 min. but I was up all night itchy from it, maybe heat rash - I have no idea and then I remembered this post so went on line, oh about 2:30am to find this post and the milk worked!! BUT what is this about and what causes it? Please help, I am scared to go again!

i use the banana boat aloe lotion and it works great for the itches and helps the tan last longer

I think your skin is just dry.Put on a good lotion and you should feel better.

Neutrogena products are the best!!! I love there body lotion, I always use it after i'm in the sun! Also...Bath and Body Works has this after sun cooling gel its great! and it smells fabulous!

I like the banana boat aloe lotion. Keep it in the fridge. WOW what a relief.

Definatly keep your skin moisterized. I use the vasaline intensive care or baby lotion. I love the smell of the baby lotion.
