I'm freaking out a bit b/c I just picked up my wedding band from the jeweler and it doesn't look quite as I had expected. In order to save me and FH some money, I elected not to get a custom-made band and we were able to find one that looked pretty much exactly like my e-ring setting. But I have a really small hand - I'm a size 3.5 - so when they made the ring to my size, the diamonds didn't line up the way they did on the one I tried on b/c the band isn't as as my e-ring.
Anyway, I really don't like the way they look together and I don't know what to do! Is it normal that after you see another ring with your e-ring it looks weird? Will I just get used to it or should I try to have the band adjusted? Or, can I wear the band and e-ring on different hands? I like them both separately but together it just looks weird. HELP!

Hmmm. That's rough. Will the jeweler do an exchange for something you like better? Your fingers are small, and he perhaps should have warned you that it would not match up, so maybe he'll be willing to work up another ring, and take the one you bought back toward it . . . . .

Do you have picks of the two of them. Being that it is sized i dont know if you could return it. I would sit with it for a few days and think about it. I know your trying to save money and believe me i know, i think i am going to start picking up penny's off the street at this point haha but seriously this is your wedding ring youre going to wear it for the rest of your life so you better like it.

did you ask the jeweler if he could exchange the ring for another one?
This is what happened to me. My e-ring isa really elaborate setting with diamonds all over, so the jewler told me that I would need to custom order the ering and the band because I am a size 4. She said if I resize an already made ring the diamonds would be not aligned and fall out over time.

Yea I know.
I do like it on its own- but I guess I didn't realize how different they would look once all was said and done. The style is the same but the thickness issue allows my e-ring to sit up much higher on my finger than my band, so it's sort of obvious that it's two rings. I don't think you'd really be able to see it in a pic, but I'll try to take some and upload later.

my band isn't as thick as my ering either. I have two rows of princess cut diamonds in my ering setting and only one in my wedding band. I don't love my band either, but I think it's the quality for me more than anything else.
I'm not married yet, so I can't say you'll definitely get used to seeing them together, but I imagine you would. Also, you absolutely could wear the band on one hand and the ering on the other.
I will say though that you will be wearing these rings for a very long time, so you should be happy with them.

can you post a picture. I love my E-ring but i'm not crazy about pave setting bands and thats what FH picked out. I'm planning on getting a totally different wedding band....I just hope it matches. My FSIL wears her rings on seperate hands....but its because her wedding band has some major bling on it. I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing them on different hands...I take the subway everyday and I notice tons of girls doing this.

My e-ring is an eternity band with a round diamond in the center and since I have small hands too, I couldn't get anything else to go up against the ring that would look right. Even just another eternity band didn't sit right because of the diamond in the center. So when we went to look at wedding bands, I found something totally elaborate that I love and I'm going to wear it on my other hand. It's totally different and I had to have it!! So FH bought 2 small pave diamond bands to go on either side of my e-ring to balance out the bigger wedding band
...you can definitely just wear it on the other hand..but I would definitely ask the jeweler if he could exchange it for something else, I'm sure he'd be willing to work with you!! Good Luck!

I dont know what you spend on the one band-but maybe you can double it up and turn it into a bridge. Just an idea, this is what we did since I was not happy with every band I saw, they didnt sit right, look funny, didnt sit flush, looked too small, looked to big....so we picked on that was on the smaller side and double them up-one of each side
