Help! I need any info on Woodlands.

I have been to the Woodlands a few times and something keeps on bring me back.
But I know nothing about it.
I know of noone that had an event there.
Anyone with any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I am planning on a Summer 2006 wedding.
Help!!!

It's a really beautiful location. You can have an outdoor ceremony and if you don't want to there's a great room with a beautiful chandelier for the ceremony. Cocktails can be had outdoors and indoors and the ball room is beautiful although oddly shaped. It's like a large rectangle...so everyone seems very spread out but that's the only thing that seemed weird about it.
I think the prices are reasonable and they have a fantastic menu.

Who did you book with?
I was with Maureen.
I loved her.
I was there on Saturday but I couldn't see the ball room because there was an even going on. So I went back again on Sunday, and totally loved it.

I was so weiry because it is so new and one i knew of had been there.

Did you get a pop up that says 'you have FM' That means Forum Mail, its on the bottom of each person's post. You can communicate directly with one person....more like an email than a conversation in front of everyone.

Hi!! i loved the woodlands but we didn't end up booking there .. the grounds are beautiful and the menu looks amazing..the only problem we had was the size and layout of the rooms.. we're having around 275 people and there's no way the CH room would fit that many people.. another gripe we had was the layout of the reception room.. it wa very long.. the bride and groom's table was situated right by the door and i thought it was weird.. plus i would feel bad for people sitting in the back.. they're too far from the action with the way the room is set up (they do have the bar :).. in my opinion this is perfect for smaller weddings.. hope this has been helpful.. good luck..
if we only had a smaller wedding party we would definitely have booked there!!

I agree with you, about the size of the rooms, but we are only having 175 or so.

i WENT TO A WEDDING THERE THIS PAST SEPTEMBER. THE PLACE WAS BEAUTIFUL, AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. THE HAD THE OUTSIDE COCKTAIL HOUR WHICH WAS SO NICE BECAUS EIT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY OUT, IWOULD DEFINITELY RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE SEATING. THE PEOPLE WERE SO SPREAD OUT, SO IF YOU WERE IN THE BACK YOU REALLY WEREN'T A PART OF THE WEDDING. IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING THAT MANY PEOPLE THEN IT IS OKAY. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE AT THE WEDDING I WENT TO, THEY FORGOT TO SET UP TWO TABLES,AND IT TOOK 20 MINUTES OF ALL THESE PEOPLE WALKING AROUND LOOKING FOR THEIR TABLE BEFORE SOMEONE FIGURED OUTTHOSE NUMBERS WEREN'T THERE. IT WAS FUNNY FOR ME BUT NOT IF I WAS THE BRIDE. I THINK IT WAS SUCH ABEAUTIFUL PLACE INSIDE AND OUT. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
