I booked with the Watermill two years ago, and I was told that I was going to have Christmas carolers that would sing in the lobby while my guests arrived to my wedding. However, I was recently informed that the Watermill no longer uses the Christmas carolers and they do not think they can get them back for my wedding. I also dont want to spend alot of money because the Watermill had told me that they were going to have them at no additional charge. Please Help!!!!
I contacted them....They are too expensive....Thank you though!

Re: Help!!! I need Christmas Carolers!!!
What about contacting local college acapella/chorus groups or music sororites/fraternities? They are usually very talented and would do it for a small fee or even free as a service project.

Re: Help!!! I need Christmas Carolers!!!
what about these people?CHRISTMAS CAROLERS LONG ISLAND STAN WIEST MUSIC 631-754-0594 HOLIDAY PARTY
Another thought I had: Old Bethpage Village has carolers at Christmas, maybe you can call there and see who they are and maybe contact them?
I really wouldn't worry if you can't find them...I know you liked the idea, but if worse comes to worst I would skip it... I would see if the hall will toss something in for free since they told you they would provide them...Maybe they will...It can't hurt to ask.

Why not check with a local high school's chorus! I am sure they would LOVE it!

Re: Help!!! I need Christmas Carolers!!!
You should DEFINITELY ask them to throw something in for you in lieu of the carolers. If they told you it would be included in your price, then that's not at all fair.

Re: Help!!! I need Christmas Carolers!!!
I used to carol occasionally as the soprano part of a SATB quartet at the George Washington Manor a few years ago. Someone at Hofstra set it up. I know GWM contacts someone at Hofstra about it each year. I would give the music department there a call. They might have you speak to Dr. Fryling.

I wish I could help you out...that is such a good idea! I'm having a (sort of) Christmas themed wedding, and if it were in the budget I would totally get carolers!!
