Help!! I need input!!
Okay, so to make a very long story short, the woman who did my invitations did an absolutely beautiful job of everything, except we ran into a roadblock with addressing the envelopes. They're too thick to go through her printer.
So, I have two options, and I'm so torn.
Option #1
Last summer, when I was considering just getting invites from Etsy, I found this calligrapher from Texas on etsy who sent me a beautiful sample envelope with hand calligraphy. Since then, I've either lost it or tossed it because I can't find it now but I do remember it was beautiful. She said this morning I could send them to her ASAP and she could turn them around in 2-3 days. She has been amazingly helpful and accommodating.
Option #2
My mother this morning found a printer based in East Meadow who does all types of invitations and day of items. She seemed less accommodating, but was certainly very sweet. Little things, like she didn't think I should put my parents name on the return address (she wanted just the address) or that it was too much effort to put it through the printer twice in the case that I wanted the addressee's name in script and their address in block. Also, she swore nothing has ever not gotten through her printer, but she made a comment that she doesn't usually work with paper this thick.
They are both within pennies of the same cost. So, I could try the woman in Texas, but I take the risk of having to send my envelopes through the mail or UPS and hope all works out, or the less accommodating but safer printer in East Meadow.
I'd appreciate any input!
