Help! I need to find affordable hall/caterers

Its hard to get married in 09'

have any of you watched Rich Bride Poor Bride on WE

well im the poor bride...lolz

My Finance and I are going civil but want to have a party with our loved ones.

We are having 75 guest and our budget is 3000-4000 any suggestions on where to look?

Swan Club? Off season you could probably get $60/person.

Maybe you can check into restaurants that have private rooms for events. Or do you want a hall with dance floor, etc?

or you can rent a space and have your fav restaurant cater. i was thinking of renting the space at the port jefferson village center (which is cheaper than i thought it would be) and have a catered event there. i was going to do italian because it is cheap and it goes a long way..not to mention its YUMMY. you can try this as well! or try where i am actually having my reception....its at the meadow club port jeff station. its nice and they have a small room that will hold like 120 and the minimum is like 75. they have lots of menus and you can even custom make your own menu to fit you budget! good luck!~

I dunno what areas you are looking into, but if your looking in suffolk, check out
Papa Joes In Deer Park they have a private room and are pretty inexpensive, Galaxie Caterers in Lindenhurst. You could also check into some VFW's. Nassau I heard Verdis in Westbury was also reasonable.

You're looking at about $50/pp
We had our engagement party at the AOH in babylon.. it came out to about $28/pp (food and drink) and we had a GREAT time.. all in all after CPs, DJ and favors it came out to about $4,000.. maybe less.

my SIL's sister had her wedding there YEARS ago and everyone loved it!

I'm getting married at Verdi's.. we're paying (after ++) a little under $100/pp.

Verdi's of Whitestone, charges $63 per person before tax and gratuity and they give you 5 entrees. There is no bridal suite though but the room is very beautiful i was going to book there before deciding to book someplace else.

I also suggest Verdi's in Whitestone. They have great food and they are remodeling in July. The place is going to look great. They already started remodeling and it looks soooo nice so far! I had my e-party there and they are great to work with. A lot of food choices! GL!

Are you looking for dancing as well? If not, you can always look into restaurants.

Captain Bill's Bayview House

You can also look to rent out a restaurant in Manhattan for 75 people and be within that budget.
