Help I need your opinion
I bought my dress yesterday. It is strapless (the Bride's is also strapless). Is it OK to go strapless or should I have them put those little spaghetti straps on for appearances? I do have C's and they gave me a strapless bra, that was holding my knee caps up by the time I was done trying the dress on. Any ideas what to wear underneath also? One of those full line jobs? The wedding is in July. Will I sweat to death? I don't want to feel anything running down anywhere! All I can think of is that line from Steel Magnolias 'looks like two pigs wrestlin' under a blanket!
Help I need feedback before my first fitting. I am going to wear a sheer shawl in church.

Re: Help I need your opinion
As far as the strapless goes, if you think the bride will be upset then maybe adding straps might be a good idea, if you don't think she cares either way, then do what's most comfy for you. OK, now the bra issue....I don't know what body type you have but the long line bras are great and stay in place, but they can also accentuate fat in the stomach area. Another option is a full body shaper type piece that has the bra built in, I wore one of those (from Victoria's Secret) for my brother's July wedding (strapless dress ) and didn't feel any hotter, I also did not wear pantyhose. My mom got her undergarments from Blums in Patchogue and was very happy with them.Hope this helps! Good luck.

OMG!!!
On a serious note, if you get the spaghetti straps and the cups sewn in this should solve the strapless problem. One of my BM has D-cups, and that was the only thing that worked and was comfy for her. The corset worked, but was very uncomfortable & you ccould see some *bulging* through the dress
good luck!

You are too funny!
Seriously though, if there is dancing and hugging, etc. I would want to know I'm secure. I bought a long bra from Mary's Corsetier's in Woodbury and it is very comfy. My daughter's wedding was on a very hot day in May and I will wear it again to my son's wedding next month. I would buy the long line bra, see how the gown fits and then decide if you like or even need the straps.

I always wear strapless and I always wear a long line. No sewn in cups or normal strapless was keeping these DD's up! Iot mine at Ruth's lingerie in MerrickWelcome New Vendors
