Help! I need your opinion

Hello everyone!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted last! I wanted to ask you your opinion on something... My best friend (MOH) is getting married in NC on July 7th. I am not in the wedding and I have my cousin's wedding July 6 in Connecticut plus a wedding the weekend before and after. I looked up flights from CT to NC and they are $300 w/out tax. Plus, I would have to rent a car $50 and hotel $75 plus the gift. I can't take off on th e9th, so I would have to leave the next day, plus some how find a ride to the airport from CT just a few hours after the end of my cousin's wedding. (Cousins wedding ends at midnight). I am willing to do anything to get down there ,(keep in mind, I am not in the wedding - she's only having her cousin) I don't have the money... figure after all is said and done her wedding is going to cost me about a grand for one day. Is it bad if I tell her I can't afford it? I really just cant! Please help! I don't know what to do. Be honest!

I think you should go since she's your best friend and was your MOH. can you get someone to pick you up from the airport? Is there someone you could split a hotel room with? you could bring cereal, pop tarts, etc with you to avoid paying for breakfast... since she's your BF you should be honest with her and tell her money is a little tight right now and you can't afford to travel and get a gift, so you could come to the wedding and then wait a few months until you have some money saved up and then buy her something she really wanted but didn't get, or something else that's special. I'm sure she would understand and having you there would be more important.

I would go. Check out sidestep they are really good with prices. The prices include tax. Hope this helps.

I think it costs about a grand to be in someone's wedding, and if she was your MOH then she spent that for your day. It's going to be very difficult for you, but you should try to make it with rental cars and flights galore. She might not ever forget or forgive if you miss the day.... JMO

If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. You can't pull money out of thin air.

If you really want to go though, you can save.

What airline/airport did you look to fly out of?

Also, there is Red Dot and CT Limo- shuttles that can take you to the airport- I know CT Limo is 52.00 one way to JFk

but you can check flights from White Plains Airport too- sometimes they are cheaper
try Air tran and Delta - they fly out of there
