The part in my hair seems to be getting bigger and bigger...I feel like within the last three months, I have been noticing an increase in hair loss...I looked at the back of my head this past Saturday and freaked out, cus I totally look as if I am balding....I have always had a full head of beautiful wavy hair and now I believe because of the stress of wedding planning, my job, and looking for a new job, is all indicators of this hair loss...I just need help on what I could do!!! Thank you for listening to me rant :)

my mom has been noticing that her hair is thinning and did rogaine. she said it helped a bit. Not sure if you want to do something like this so close to your wedding though. There are also shampoos you can buy to help thicken your hair.
also, try changing your part for the next few months so that you don't continue to spread it out. Then, if you plan to use your current part on your wedding, you can put it back

I would get bloodwork done at your doctor as well.. all of a sudden hair loss or thinning could mean a thyroid issue which is very common in women

it could be an iron deficiency or malnutrition. I would definitely do the blood work!

You could take biotin supplements, or prenatal vitamins. Both are great at growing your hair thicker.

I have had thinning hair for about 5 years now, its slowly progressing but it just makes me cry everytime I pull my hair back (in the front I wear a side swept look to cover it up). I try to clarify my scalp regularly but I think its just stress. I've just started a Biotin supplement so we'll see if that works. Also I did have interlinks added once, they're very expensive but completely filled in my hairline.

Do you feel okay otherwise? I would get a full panel of bloodwork, take daily vitamins (I am obsessed with the womens vitagummies) and limit how often you wash & brush your hair. Sounds gross but too much washing and or brushing can make you lose more hair.

make sure you are getting some GOOD fats in your diet- nuts, peanut butter or olive oil (EVOO) ETC.

The same thing was happening to me this year. I went to the doctor and the blood work came up that I was anemic. Low iron levels can cause hair loss. I am taking iron pills, biotin pills and avoiding putting my hair up in a bun and in tight ponytails. Tight hairstyles break off hair sometimes. I'm seeing some progress since taking all these steps. Good luck girl!

I agree with the girls here. Def consult with your dr first to see if there is any underlining issue causing this. I remember when I was in college this happened to me also. My dr. did blood work, turns out I was anemic. That coupled with stress and a poor diet (vending machine snacks/red bull) made my hair thin/fall out. I started eating right, and added good fats to my diet, and my hair slowly went back to its natural state.

Re: Help!!!! I'm freaking out!!!
One of my friends tried the rogaine and it has helped. Also my sister after she lost alot of weight started noticing her hair getting thinner also. Since I saw you said you dont have insurance maybe try biotin or some clip in extensions?
